Let the Travels Begin

We are finally on our way to Morocco! After some stressful days and sleepless nights, we finally could relax a little as we sat on our first flight to Calgary with all of our undone tasks left behind us (a huge thank you to all our family and friends who not only helped us get things done before we left, but will continue to support us while we're gone).

From Calgary we flew to Rome, where we will be seeing some sights and getting over jet lag until Thursday when we fly out to Marrakesh. Tomorrow (Oct 21st) is our oldest son Josiah's 18th birthday, so we will officially be down to four children who are minors and one adult child. We're hoping his 18th is both memorable and fun for him.

The first real culture shock moment that I noticed for our kids was after we checked into our accommodations in Rome and a couple of them asked why there were 2 toilets in the bathroom and which one they were supposed to use (see picture).
